Participants of the “City of comfort: integrated approach to urban environment” conference visited Stanislavsky Factory

August 29, 2014 – Participants of the “City of Comfort: Integrated Approach to Urban Environment” conference that was held in Moscow on August 28-29 visited the office center Stanislavsky Factory. The visit was part of their study tour of completed urban regeneration projects in Moscow. Stanislavsky Factory was presented along with such projects as Crimean Embankment, Nikolskaya Street, Alexander’s Garden, public gardens on Sadovo-Triumfalnaya Street and Oruzheiny Alley.

The “City of Comfort: Integrated Approach to Urban Environment” conference was organized by The Main Architecture and Planning Directorate at the Moscow Architecture Committee with support of the Committee for Architecture and Urban Development of the Moscow City Government. The conference participants – public officials, designers, builders, teachers of architecture schools – discussed new approaches to integrated beautification of the capital city.

Stanislavsky Factory was presented as one of the most successful industrial redevelopment projects whereby former factory grounds were regenerated into comfortable business space. The conference participants noted the European landscape design, roof greening and the use of new conceptual materials in landscape architecture (rusty metal).
